The Ministry of Higher Education was established 1988 by the state of Kuwait with a main aim to promote higher education, explore and expand on its different educational aspects as well as encourage and develop scientific research, applied education and training.
Students receiving sponsorship from Ministry of Higher Education are required to follow a set of guidelines and regulations that should be abided for the duration of their studies.

In addition to its own scholarships, the Ministry of Higher Education oversees a certain number of other sponsors’ scholarships which share most of its own rules and regulations. These sponsors belong to various Kuwaiti Governmental agencies, organizations and financial establishments including:
