Placement Department

Our department assists incoming undergraduate scholarship students in getting an admission to an English language (ESL) or academic program in the U.S. We aim to help students secure an admission that best reflect their talents and goals, as well as the requirements of the sponsoring agencies in Kuwait.

Steps to Admisssion and Authentication

Upload Documents to  Dayrah System 

  • Passport, Civil ID Card, Birth Certificate
  • Address in Kuwait (Area, Block#, Street#, House#, etc.)
  • Email Address, Telephone number
  • Transcripts (grades 9-12) and IGCSE Certificates (if applicable), Midterm Grades if taking A/AS levels
  • High School Equivalency Certificate (if applicable)
  • TOEFL/IELTS/SAT/ACT scores
  • Personal Essay and Immunization Certificate
  • Authorization to Represent & Release Information form

CHOOSE Approved Schools

  • Go to  University guide
  • For ESL Program: Choose 1-2 schools -https://sis.kuwaitculturedc.org/kc_university/ext_esl_list.php
    *Make sure that the school is not restricted for enrollment and seats are available.
  • For Academic Program: Choose 4-5 schools -Search your Scholarship Major and Choose your Schools -https://sis.kuwaitculturedc.org/kc_university/ext_mcpf_list.php

SUBMIT Applications to Schools

  • Go to the websites of the schools
  • Click on the links on how to complete an application
  • Submit your applications with all of the requirements to the schools
  • Pay the application fees
  • For Academic Program Applications – Ask the testing agency to send your official TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, ACT results directly to the schools
  • Print the emails from the schools confirming they received your applications (may include your university/application ID number)

AUTHENTICATE I – 20 and Acceptance Letter

  • Upload  your  I – 20 , Acceptance Letter  and passport  to  Dayrah
  • Submit a  Request  for  Authentication  in  Dayrah
  • If your admission is approved , D.C. Cultural Office will  u pload  the  A uthenticated I – 20 and Acceptance Letter  to your file in Dayrah

RECEIVE I – 20 and Acceptance Letter

  • Give the school 4 – 8 weeks to review your application
  • If your application is approved, the school will issue your I – 20 and Acceptance Letter

ASK for FSL from DC Office

  • Upload the emails from the schools confirming they received your applications with your passport copy to Dayrah
  • Submit a Request for Financial Support Letter (FSL) in Dayrah to be sent to the schools and specify the start date of the program
  • For ESL Applications : We can only submit one (1) FSL for each student because ESL seats are limited
